Directions from 'out of town' - North or East
I have assumed that you can get to the M27. Follow the M27 towards Bournemouth and then continue as the road becomes the A31. Go through Ringwood and ignore the turning to the A338 to Bournemouth. Follow the A31 over a series of roundabouts, through St. Leonards and Trickets Cross towards Ferndown. On the final roundabout on the A31, you should see Sainsburys on the right.
Follow the signs for the A348 to Ferndown; the road is called 'Ringwood Road'. As you enter Ferndown you will come to a set of traffic lights, on the left is a Fire Station. Straight over at the traffic lights. Once you exit Ferndown, you should go past a pub called The Angel on your left. You'll then reach a pair of mini roundabouts; there is a church on the right of the first one and a bike shop on the right of the second, straight across both of these. You should now be heading to Longham, keep going, past the Aston Martin dealer on the right and the Water Works and Bridge, keep going.
Eventually you will come to a roundabout with a pub called the 'Bear Cross' on the right; straight over once again, this is now a dual carriage way. You will come to another roundabout with the ‘Clock garage' on the right, straight across again. You should see a number of stores like Argos and B&Q on your left. You will next arrive at a large roundabout with the Mountbatten Arms pub (we are now on the map above) facing you; you guessed it – straight across, down the hill (a favourite spot for mobile speed cameras, you have been warned), yet another roundabout to go straight across at. Take the second left down Alderney Avenue, then first right into Manor Avenue.
Most people manage to shoot right past the entrance to the centre (on your right); it's set back off the road and is not very well lit. It's after Herm road, but before Evering Avenue (both on the left), if you get to Evering Avenue, turn around there and go back, don't go to the T junction as Herbert Avenue is difficult to get into and it's not easy to get back into Manor Avenue!
