Boscombe Bob

Local celebrity, Boscombe Bob, visited the air museum to help spread his message on the benefits of the Boscombe Spa Resort and especially his mission to help educate children (mainly from the ages 8 through to 14) in all beach sport activities and prepare them to enjoy the vast number of water sports on offer in Boscombe Spa as they get older.

Boscombe Bob seemed very interested in our Wessex Helicopter painted in RAF Search and Rescue colours. A gentle reminder that the coast can be a dangerous place and he has total respect to all rescue crews for the tremendous job that they do. However, Boscombe Bob is determined to 'Help make Boscombe the safest, cleanest and most enjoyable mile of Bournemouth's beaches.

Finally, Boscombe Bob couldn't resist sitting in our Hunter aircraft. At some point in their life, doesn't every boy have the ambition to soar high in the sky in a fast jet aircraft? With Bob's sometimes busy schedule, he might need a fast form of transport. Now where's the start button!
