Future Plans

The Museum trustees have ambitious plans to create a new Aviation Heritage Centre containing flying and static historic and classic aircraft.

The main objectives of the centre will be to show all aspects of aviation history, technology and engineering in structured, interesting and novel ways. It will contain flying and static historic and classic aircraft, including an ongoing display of an aircraft being built. Other aspects of aviation will feature, such as Air Traffic Control and airport management; also the contribution aviation makes to the economy and the true impact upon the environment. The emphasis will be upon educating young people and encouraging them towards an interest and career in technology, engineering and aviation. It will provide the ultimate aviation experience for all members of the family of all ages, especially the young. Plans are already under way to secure its future.
