The latest news is the arrival by road from Reading on 21 September of a nose / cockpit of an English Electric Lighting F.53.

This classic British jet fighter was originally delivered to the Royal Saudi Air Force (serial 53-676) where it served for many years. Later traded back in for Tornado aircraft, the fighter was stored for some years with military serial ZF582. Later the cockpit section was saved, moving to the Museum for further safe keeping and attention.

This is now an interactive exhibit and visitors are able to access the cockpit.
